A Fortissat councillor has called it quits after eight years as an elected member.Tommy Cochrane announced on Tuesday that he is stepping down with immediate effect after admitting finding it difficult juggling his personal work life with his role at North Lanarkshire Council.He said: “I work as a planning consultant after studying for five years and it’s unfortunate that I am unable to do both.“However, I think I have no option but to walk away from the council.“I wish everyone at the council well, regardless of their political party.
