A police video has revealed the shocking moment a woman who lied about rapes which never happened and caused three people to try and take their own lives was arrested.Eleanor Williams was caged last year for eight-and-a-half years after pretending to be the victim of a terror campaign of abuse in her Cumbria hometown which sparked unprecedented protests. The 22-year-old posted pictures of fake injuries and claims of being groomed, trafficked and beaten on Facebook in May 2020, in a post which was shared more than 100,000 times. The disgraced woman made several serious sexual allegations against a large amount of men between 2016 and 2020 as well as creating false names and messages to spin a web of lies suggesting she was a victim of sex trafficking reports the Mirror. After being sentenced back in March 2023 a BBC documentary on her sick crimes has now shown the moment she told of her supposed attacks.Williams was 17 when she made her first rape allegation, which was denied, and she later withdrew her claim.Eighteen months later she made allegations against a second man who spent ten weeks in prison before being released. In a police video on the programme, Williams is seen with her hair tied back as she describes the “attack”.

She said: “He had a knife and was waving it around… [He] pulled me into the bathroom by my hair, stripped me naked and was hitting me with the shower head."She went onto claim an Asian grooming gang forced her to have sex with several men, leading to several attacks on members of the Asian community in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.During sentencing last year, Judge Robert Altham said: "We are aware the sex trafficking of young females does occur."There is a risk genuine victims will be put off
