A shocked mum delivered her own baby in the passenger seat of a car as her partner cornered a roundabout at 60mph on the way to the hospital.
Chiara Musetti's daughter Siena was born in a BMW 3-series, driven by her partner James Spence, just two minutes from Furness General Hospital in Cumbria.
The high-speed birth came after a 45-minute journey through flooded roads from their home in Windermere. Chiara and Jason were both screaming "Oh my God" as Siena, weighing 8lbs, "just fell out" into the mum's arms at 3.30am on February 24 this year.
After arriving at the hospital, relieved mum Chiara, 28, joked to stunned staff she’d “done their job for them” as midwives told her they "couldn’t believe" she had given birth in a moving car.
