Radio presenter Eoghan McDermott is due to bid farewell to RTÉ’s 2fm after serving the station for over six years. The 37-year-old’s unexpected decision comes after he took an unplanned annual leave two weeks ago.
He has not been on the air since. He is now set to walk away from the Breakfast Show he has hosted alongside Doireann Garrihy for the past two years.
Since joining RTÉ from Spin FM in 2014, McDermott has presented a number of shows across TV and radio. According to the Sunday World, his decision to quit is believed to be for ‘personal reasons’.
