Shinichirō Watanabe’s Anime Series ‘Lazarus’ Gets Adult Swim Premiere Date & Trailer

Lazarus, the anticipated new anime series from Cowboy Bebop creator Shinichirō Watanabe, will premiere Saturday, April 5 at midnight on Adult Swim during the network’s Toonami action/anime block.

The network also released the official trailer, which you can watch above. Lazarus is described as a pulse-pounding thriller about a miracle drug, Hapna, that presumably frees anyone who takes it from all pain.

However, it is later revealed that Hapna has a fatal consequence: all who have taken the drug will perish. With only thirty days to save humanity, a group of agents must find a vaccine before all is lost.

The English voice cast includes David Matranga as Dr. Skinner; Jade Kelly as Hersch; Jack Stansbury as Axel; Luci Christian as Chris; Bryson Baugus as Leland; Jovan Jackson as Doug, Annie Wild as Elaina and Sean Patrick Judge as Abel.
