Explaining the pioneering work of Dress For Success, Fionnuala Shannon, the charity’s executive director, says: “We empower women to economic independence by providing pre-employment training, confidence building and free styling sessions and wardrobe to assist them in being successful at gaining employment.” On being referred to Dress For Success, women receive a one-to-one styling session and free, high quality clothing to help them feel more confident and boost their self-esteem.
They then take part in a session with a volunteer interview coach, enabling them to perfect their interview techniques, ready to face the real thing.
