A family's life was turned upside down in an instant when a father-of-two suffered a stroke at work. Nicky Everitt received the devastating news that her husband, Simon Everitt, 55, had collapsed just hours after she said goodbye to him.
Simon, from the Wirral, was rushed to hospital where it was discovered he had suffered a stroke caused by a subarachnoid haemorrhage, a severe bleed on the brain.
