Caitlin Jones has kept a pair of muddy boots as a stark reminder of the day her life changed forever. Tucked away and seldom revisited, they represent a chapter she would prefer to leave behind.
A year ago, before the fateful incident, Jones was thriving in a job she loved, eyeing a bright future in modelling, and was close to realising her childhood dream: wearing the famous red shirt of Wales.
Caitlin started playing rugby at just six-years-old, climbing the ranks at Cardiff, then Bath, and fashioned herself a chance at possibly playing in the Six Nations for her country.
