Sharon Stone is opening up about the circumstances of how she lost custody of her son, Roan.
The 64-year-old actress appeared on the “Table for Two” podcast recently, where she detailed what went down with the custody of Roan following her divorce from Phil Bronstein. Keep reading to find out more… During the podcast, Sharon revealed that her most famous role, in 1992′s Basic Instinct, was at the center of the custody battle. “I lost custody of my child,” Sharon shared, adding that then “judge asked my child — my tiny little boy, ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies?’” She added, “Like, this kind of abuse by the system — that I was considered what kind of parent I was, because I made that movie.” Sharon and Phil had adopted Roan in 2000, and were divorced in 2004. “People are walking around with no clothes on at all on regular TV now and you saw maybe like a 16th of a second of possible nudity of me — and I lost custody of my child,” she went on “Are you kidding?” As a result of losing custody of Roan, Sharon checked into “the Mayo Clinic with extra heartbeats in the upper and lower chambers” of her heart. “It broke my heart.
It literally broke my heart.” Just recently, Sharon opened up about misogyny that she’s been subjected to in the industry.
