John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, actor and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname "The Prince of Darkness".

Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions.

Sharon Osbourne Hospitalized Amid Production on New TV Show

Sharon Osbourne has been hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency while filming a new TV show on Friday, December 16.The Osbournes alum, 70, fell ill while she was taping an unnamed TV show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California, TMZ confirmed early on Saturday, December 17.

The outlet noted that Osbourne was then transported to a local medical facility for treatment.A rep for the Ventura County Fire Department told TMZ that first responders received a “medical call” for assistance before arriving at the scene on Friday, transporting the patient to Santa Paula Hospital.
