John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is an English singer, songwriter, actor and television personality. He rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, during which he adopted the nickname "The Prince of Darkness".
Osbourne was fired from the band in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems, but he went on to have a successful solo career, releasing eleven studio albums, the first seven of which were all awarded multi-platinum certifications in the United States. Osbourne has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions.
Sharon Osbourne bravely opened up about trying to end her life. The star, 68, was so low at one point four years ago that she attempted suicide.
Sharon, who has been married to rocker Ozzy Osbourne for 38 years, spoke about how she felt she could no longer cope on US talk show The Talk.
She said: "Four years ago, I was finding things very, very difficult, and I've been medicated for 28 years - properly medicated, not just through a friend. "Four years ago, I tried to take my life and it wasn't for attention.
I just couldn't bear it." Sharon went to a facility for help, where she met two girls who completely changed her outlook on life.
