Robert Rodriguez is confirming a big rumor about his upcoming Netflix movie, We Can Be Heroes.

The director of the 2005 kid superhero film, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, confirmed that the movie will bring back the iconic characters as adults. “Sharkboy and Lava Girl show up as superhero parents who now have a daughter who has shark and lava powers,” he shared before adding that Lavagirl, played by Taylor Dooley, was the only parent with a speaking part.

There wasn’t any talk of Taylor Lautner returning for his role of Sharkboy. Robert added even more details about the movie, saying that his kids helped him with the concept. “My kids are at the age when they can make films alongside me.
