Shakira has sung many times about a broken heart, but her latest music video seems to indicate the lyrics may be personal. The release of Monotonía, comes four months after the 45-year-old hitmaker and her former partner, Gerard Piqué, 35, announced they were splitting after 11 years together.
In the video, Shakira's character is seen walking around a grocery store with a sullen look on her face when out of nowhere someone fires a rocket propelled grenade, blasting a hole in her chest.

As she struggles to pick up the missing organ, the male character, played by Puerto Rican singer Ozuna, 30, sings accusingly, 'yo sabia que esto pasaria, de repente que eres el mismo,' ('I knew this would happen, you are the same)' to which Shakira retorts 'me dejasta por tu narcissismo' ('you left me for your narcissism.')Later, as she walks through crowded city sidewalks, she runs in to various men, trips and drops the heart on the ground, where it's stepped on by a passerby.
