Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are taking their talents back to Canada. The duo’s production company Point Grey Pictures and Lionsgate, where Point Grey has a first-look TV deal, have struck a pact to develop and produce an original scripted TV series for Bell Media‘s streamer Crave and linear network CTV.

Best known for films and TV series including “The Boys,” “Sausage Party,” “Good Boys,” “Neighbors” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem,” as well as the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy “The Studio,” Point Grey hails from Canadian-born creators Rogen and Goldberg, but will mark its first scripted show produced specifically for the Canadian TV market with this Bell Media deal. “Canada is the greatest country on Earth and deserves the greatest content on Earth,” Rogen, Goldberg, and Weaver said. “To honour the country from coast to glorious coast and every square kilometre in between, we promise to work diligently with our partners at Lionsgate and Bell Media to ensure our new deal results in creatively exciting and financially lucrative work that flows forth from our alliance like syrup from a well-tapped maple tree.” Currently, Lionsgate and Bell Media have their own co-development agreement to produce comedy and drama television series for the global market, separate from this project with Lionsgate partner Point Grey. “Seth, Evan, and James have a remarkable ability to captivate audiences with their subversive humour and unique storytelling,” Bell Media president Sean Cohan said.
