Sergio Aguero has admitted that his goal in the crucial Premier League win over Liverpool last season did not mean to fly in at the near post.
Aguero opened the scoring in the 2-1 home win with a trademark strike from a tight angle, before Leroy Sane scored the winner on the break to haul Manchester City back into the title race.
City went on to win the league by a point ahead of Liverpool, meaning the goal was one of the most important City scored last season, but Aguero has now confirmed he was actually aiming for the far post.
