Sophie, Duchess Of Edinburgh, may be a familiar face in the Royal family now, but Prince Edward's wife was once an ordinary schoolgirl with working parents.

A throwback photo from her school days shows a very different Sophie to the one we know today.The adorable snap captures a seven year old Sophie during her time at Little Stream Dulwich College Prep School, sporting a bob haircut with a fringe.This prestigious school, known for its excellent facilities, is where Sophie started her education journey and boasts famous alumni like Tana Ramsay and Game of Thrones star Ellie Kendrick.

Reports suggest that Sophie, who tied the knot with Prince Edward in 1999, was recognised for her "lively personality and sporty streak".

She later moved to Kent College in Pembury, an independent girls' school, where she met Sarah Sienesi, one of her closest friends and future London flatmate.
