Kenneth Martin, 77, and his wife Eileen, 76, were found dead at their home in Davyhulme, Trafford, in 2008. They were found dead at their Broadway home by their daughter Elaine Tong on November 10, 2008 - the day before their 55th wedding anniversary.An inquest into their deaths concluded Mr Martin killed his seriously-ill wife before taking his own life because he could no longer cope with looking after her.He suffered from stokes, diabetes and prostate cancer, and had cared for his wife for five years since she was diagnosed with dementia.The court heard Kenneth admitted to his family he was struggling to cope and warned he would not 'leave her behind as a burden' when he died.Mr Martin, a retired steel erector, killed his wife before.
