Six Republicans voted to advance the proposal: Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rob Portman of Ohio, Mitt Romney of Utah and Ben Sasse of Nebraska, CNBC reported.
The vote will likely result in putting an end to a proposed 10-person panel to understand the events that led to the violent takeover of the U.S.
