Mary Fitzgerald has explained why she has kept her ex-husband’s surname.It seemed like the reality TV real estate agent might have an Irish connection due to her surname Fitzgerald, but it turns out that name comes from her ex-husband’s family.Asked whether she had any ties to Ireland, Mary told EVOKE, ‘I don’t know.

I know my last name — I want to that whole [genealogy testing], I want to do that to find out — but my last name is actually from my ex-husband.’‘I just never changed it, it was too much of a hassle.’In the first season of the hit Netflix show, Mary explains to viewers, ‘I’ve been married twice before.’‘My first husband passed away and my second husband, it just didn’t work out.
