University students who are self-isolating say they have been given Pot Noodles and frozen ready meals to eat. Students living in halls at the University of Birmingham have urged the institution to "send veggies" as they say the food they are being given is not fresh enough.
They have claimed they need to pay if they want to get more nutritious meals, Birmingham Live reports. A first-year psychology student said she and her friends do not think the food they received was enough.
She told BBC News : "We don't know if that is enough food to last for our period of isolation in terms of fresh food and vegetables which are lacking.
