A headteacher who was supposed to be self-isolating at home was caught by one of her pupils in an airport queue about to head to Turkey on holiday, it’s been claimed.
Alicia Reid, 52, was allegedly snapped at Glasgow airport two days before the official October break despite telling colleagues she had been “pinged” as a close contact of someone infected with Covid.
She is now set to be replaced by an acting rector at Stranraer Academy in Dumfries and Galloway while education chiefs carry out a probe.
The local council’s director of skills, education and learning, Dr Gillian Brydson, said: “Miss Reid will not be in school for a period of time."An acting headteacher is due to be appointed as soon as possible.”The move follows widely viewed
