‘See you on Monday’: Kay Burley returns to Sky News after six-month suspension

Kay Burley is due to return to Sky News as her six months suspension has come to an end. She has been absent from the station since she was photographed breaking lockdown restrictions to celebrate her birthday in London with her pals in December.

Kay claimed that she was unaware of the changes to restrictions at the time, which saw London placed in Tier Two lockdown in late 2020.

After being papped with her pals leaving a restaurant, she agreed to step back from her post following the mistake. At the time, Kay wrote in a statement that she was having a ‘period of reflection’ but would return in the summer.

Now, her six months suspension is up and she will return to work on Monday morning. An excited Kay is clearly eager to get back behind
