Ayrshire. Poundstretcher has taken charge of the huge Fowlds Street store in Kilmarnock that used to be home to Wilkinsons and Tesco.
The store officially opened yesterday with the bargain shop bringing 15 new jobs to the town with a variety of workers taking full and part-time positions.Bosses at the firm announced last week that they would be marking the opening by donating £250 worth of vouchers to Ayrshire (East) Foodbank and £250 worth of vouchers to Kidney Kids Scotland for all their hard work and dedication.We told you last week that shoppers were concerned the new 36,759 sq ft mega store could spell the end for their other unit at Glencairn Retail Park.
