The grief-stricken family of a man who died after going into the Thames to save a woman claimed search teams gave up too quickly.
Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole, known as Jimi, dived into the river in a bid to rescue a woman in the early hours of Saturday morning near London Bridge.
Jimi, 20, was coming home from work when he and a friend jumped into the water after telling police about the incident. But tragically he died in the river, with rescuers finding his body six hours later, while his friend and the woman were both saved.
Michael Adewola, 63, and mum Olasunkanmi Adewole, 54, said they were heartbroken by their son's death and were proud of him for trying to save the woman's life.
