Sean O’Rourke will wrap up an impeccable career as a broadcast journalist on Friday 8 May when his last show on RTÉ Radio 1 airs.
The Twitter account for his widely respected programme shared what’s in store for his ‘last ever’ show: ‘We’ll be joined by Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan, we’ll hear about events stateside with New York Times Columnist Maureen Dowd.’ ‘Also we’ll recall some memories from past shows and we’ll have live music and craic.’ The 65-year-old is stepping away from his show at RTÉ’s compulsory retirement age but not before his contemporaries have shared their tributes to his brilliant work.
