A historic interview given by the 8 Out Of 10 Cats star has now resurfaced, where he revealed he was first diagnosed with cancer in 1990 at the age of 27.
He discussed in 2010 how he was diagnosed with malignant melanoma after working on building sites before his comedy career took off.
