East Kilbride coach Allan Steel says Scottish Rugby declaring the season null and void has caused “heartache” across the country.
Steel’s side were mid-table in West League One and had an outside chance of winning the title, but he reckons if teams have the same drive it will make for an ultra-competitive campaign when it starts back up again.
He has sympathy for sides who thought they were on the verge of promotion, including near-neighbours Strathaven, but Steel says everybody just has to get on with it and reckons it is the right call.
