Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Scottish Parliament 'strongly advises' MSPs and staff to delete TikTok

The Scottish Parliament has "strongly advised" MSPs and staff to remove social media app TikTok from devices amid security concerns.It comes after the UK Government banned the popular app from government-issued phones on Thursday following safety concerns over sensitive data being accessed by the Chinese government.Beijing's embassy in the UK hit out at the move, saying the ban was based on politics and not facts.In an email to all parliamentary staff and MSPs, a senior IT official at Holyrood urged them to remove the app."After discussions with the National Cyber Security Centre, we are strongly advising that all members, members' staff, parliament staff and contractors' staff remove the TikTok app from any device currently used to access the Scottish Parliament's IT systems," he said."This includes personal devices and Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body-issued devices."We are giving this advice based on a precautionary approach and the best information available to us at this moment given the concerns around the information the TikTok application can collect from devices."We consider this advice to be proportionate and necessary given the situation as we currently understand it."We will continue to liaise with cyber security partners including the National Cyber Security Centre and this advice will be kept under review."
