A Scottish whisky distillery has been named as offering the best tours in the world.The winners of the 2024 World Travel Awards were recently unveiled.
The global awards celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. Among the winners at the World Travel Awards was The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery on the edge of the Black Isle in the Highlands.
The distillery won the World's Leading Whisky Distillery Tour 2024 prize, beating out distilleries in countries such as Japan and the United States.The Singleton of Glen Ord Distillery, which is situated 15 miles west of Inverness, is the only remaining single malt scotch whisky distillery on the Black Isle.
It produces 12-year-old, 15-year-old, and 18-year-old single malts.The distillery, which is rated five stars by the Scottish Tourist Board, offers a range of experiences.
