Scottish Government announce 36 new deaths overnight as 1,118 new cases reported

coronavirus figures show there were 1,118 new cases recorded overnight. The increase brings the country's death toll to 3,280, from 80.135 confirmed infections.

There are also 1,198 people being treated in hospital for the virus, 92 of whom are in intensive care. It comes as Scotland's national clinical director is "relatively confident" fans will be able to attend Euro 2020 games in Glasgow - but won't say if it will be a full house.

Appearing on BBC Radio Scotland's 'Off The Ball' professor Jason Leitch was quizzed over the latest with regard to football and the coronavirus.Asked whether he would put a light pencil or heavy pen rating on the chances of a full house Leitch replied: "I think it's pencil.
