party leaders have been looking to secure your vote with a number of eye-catching policies. Scotland 's recovery from the devastating coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 10,000 Scots, has been one of the biggest issues during the election, while independence has popped up a fair few times as well.

Polling stations open at 7am and will close at 10pm, however if you're in line to vote than you'll be allowed to cast your ballot after closing time.Votes are normally counted from 10pm onwards and into the wee small hours but that won't happen this time.

Due to strict covid restrictions results will be announced on Friday and Saturday.That means the fallout to this crucial election is due to come on Sunday and then into next week on.
