Scott Mills has shared a "regret" he experienced after stepping in for Radio 2's Zoe Ball and facing listener backlash. The 51 year old DJ has been filling in for Zoe this week, with the BBC announcing her absence from the airwaves until September.
However, Scott stirred up some controversy among listeners when he read out a survey ranking the UK's top 10 ice creams. The survey placed the iconic Funny Feet at number 10, while the Solero snagged the top spot.
This sparked an "angry" response from Radio 2 listeners, many of whom felt that the Magnum deserved better than its second-place finish. It's a UK survey, bottom of the pack, Funny Feet, which I think is a disgrace by the way." He continued listing the ice creams: "Nine, Flake; eight Nobbly Bobbly; seven Calippo; six Ice Pops; five Fab; four Cornetto; three Twister; and top two, that you are going to be talking to your friends about when you get to work, because of the outrage, number two Magnum, Solero is number one.", reports the Express.
