Scott Foley Teases New Netflix Rom-Com 'La Dolce Villa,' First Look Photos Revealed

Netflix has released first look photos for the upcoming romantic comedy La Dolce Villa! Scott Foley stars in the new movie, which was directed by Mark Waters, who is well known for helming such movies as Mean Girls, Freaky Friday and Just Like Heaven, among others. Keep reading to find out more… Here’s a synopsis: Successful businessman Eric travels to Italy to stop his daydreaming daughter Olivia from restoring a crumbling villa.

Italy, however, has different plans for him as it delivers on its legendary promise of beauty, magic, and romance. “His initial determination — to save his daughter from making what he believes would be a huge mistake in purchasing property in Italy — turns out to be a sort of second chance at happiness for Eric, in so many ways!” Scott shared with Tudum.

Also starring in the movie are Maia Reficco, Violante Placido and Giuseppe Futia. Scott and Maia‘s father-daughter bond also formed off screen! “She knows that if I can ever help her with advice or a home-cooked meal, I’m always available,” he dished.

He also noted that he and his wife, Marika Domińczyk, “were so thrilled to get to see her perform” in her Broadway debut in Hadestown.
