The Scott Brown era got off to a winning start as Ayr United plundered all three points from the national stadium.Mark McKenzie bagged the winner against 10-man Queen's Park, who had fought back from a goal down following Jamie Murphy's first half opener.
But Ayr and new boss Broony were not to be denied as they climbed to sixth in the Championship table.The gaffer said: "I'm always happy with a win - although I was a little disappointed with the later part of the game where we could have showed more composure and killed Queen's off a bit better.
But the lads have been fantastic over the last couple of days and the amount of information we've fed them is probably way more than we should have done, but they've taken it on board really well."They've already got an understanding of the shape we want to play and how we want to press.
We looked a threat throughout how the whole game and that's how I want us to be. The disappointment was the goal we conceded because we've allowed Dom Thomas on to his left foot to cross but that's what good players do.
