After days of sunshine, Scotland's glorious weather came to a brief halt on Friday - and more rain is on the way. Following downpours and heavy flooding yesterday, forecasters predict a clear weekend, but this will once again change on Monday.Met Office weather maps show heavy rain is to sweep across the country early next week.
While temperatures will remain high, a low-pressure system in the Atlantic will see much of the country hit with a deluge. Jim Dale, founder and senior meteorological consultant at British Weather Services, previously spoke to Express.co.uk on the sudden change.
He explained: "We’ve just had a showery period through hot weather, but it retained its heat. Instead, this one will knock the heat on the head."It’ll still be warm and humid, but the rain is coming.
It’ll start on Saturday and it won’t go anywhere for a week. People will be dodging the bullets. That's the bottom line here.
