A Scots thug battered his elderly neighbour with a spade after a row erupted into violence.Jim Stevenson, 58, and James Woodside, 73, had been friends but had fallen out over a dispute.Mr Woodside heard a window being banged as he was putting out rubbish when he turned to see Stevenson staring at him.
The yob - who is facing jail following the incident - then left his property in Motherwell, Lanarkshire, and demanded a 'square-go' with the pensioner.
