Scots university students have been praised for a 'phenomenal' performance on BBC quiz show University Challenge. The group of Edinburgh students successfully made it through to the second round after scoring an amazing 320 points in the new series of the show on Monday evening.
The show, hosted by Amol Rajan, has been branded the toughest quiz team tournament on TV but Stafford, Hadley, Uttamchandani and McGovern had viewers impressed with their knowledge.
As reported in Edinburgh Live, university students face off against another team of brainiacs during the programme, which is now in its 61st year.
