Callous David Bell, 32, pounced on the woman, then 21, in Irvine, Ayrshire, after emerging from the shadows as she walked home from a train station.
He grabbed her from behind, dragged her into a secluded area and pinned her to the ground before repeatedly trying to rape her.The terrifying attack left the woman so frightened she believed she was going to die.And when she asked why he was attacking her, Bell chillingly warned: "Wrong place, wrong time." He was caged for seven years over the 2010 in 2011 and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
