Peter Kay fans in Scotland are calling for more Glasgow dates to be added to his 2023 tour due to high demand for pre-sale tickets.

Earlier this week, the 49-year-old comedian, who has been taking time away from the public eye over the last four years, announced a huge arena tour across the UK from December until August 2023 - including two dates at Glasgow's OVO Hydro. This will be the comic's first live tour since 2010, where he scored the Guinness World Record for the biggest selling run of all time, playing to more than 1.2 million people. The pre-sale offers fans the chance to bag some tickets before the general sale on Saturday, however due to the overwhelming demand, the pre-sale sites appeared to have crashed, leaving fans unable to get tickets and wondering if there are any tickets left.Pre-sale is on offer to Three Mobile or O2 customers.

Three is offering pre-sale ticket access to Peter Kay’s shows - thanks to Three+, the mobile network’s rewards app and O2 customers can get early access to tickets with O2 Priority but despite this, not many were having any joy getting to the checkout successfully.Due to the unprecedented demand, Kay has already added seven extra dates at Manchester's O2 Arena, and Scots fans are hopeful that the same will be done in Glasgow.

One fan said: "Surely at this rate @peterkay_co_uk will put on extra dates for #Glasgow since ticket master keeps kicking you out the site ,surely the pre sales haven’t sold out." Another fumed: "Glasgow sold out within 6 minutes of opening for priority." O2 say it's the highest demand they've had for priority access pre-sale tickets in 15 years but have assured fans pre-sale tickets are available for 48 hours.
