A Scots OAP has been left ‘traumatised’ after heartless thieves ransacked her home and stole thousands of pounds worth of property during a shocking raid.
The 69-year-old was in her house on Glamis Avenue, Elderslie, when two men wearing balaclavas broke in at around 1.15pm on Friday September 30.
Police say while the woman was thankfully not injured, she has been ‘devastated’ by the raid which saw her held inside during the ordeal.
Investigators have released a description of the two suspects and are stepping up uniformed patrols in the area. They are also keen to trace a dark coloured 4x4 vehicle seen in the area.
