Scots mum's heartache as young daughter who lost power in leg and arm diagnosed with brain cancer

A devastated mum has spoken of her anguish after her young daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Little Faye Taylor, nine, first took unwell on Sunday May 15 when her left arm became disfigured and her left leg turned inwards.

Frantic mum Elaine, 50, was convinced Faye was having a stroke and immediately contacted NHS24 after noticing her child was struggling to walk.

Faye was rushed to nearby Wishaw General Hospital before being later transferred to Yorkhill Hospital, where her family were delivered the devastating news on May 19 following an MRI scan.

Heartbroken Elaine told the Record: "I never expected this to happen. Never in a million years."Faye had no symptoms before that day.
