A Scots mum-of-four has died suddenly in her sleep with 'no warning' and 'no explanation'. Mhairi Anne Mackie passed away unexpectedly on Easter Monday as her heartbroken family say there was no initial explanation for her sudden death.

The devoted mum, who lived in Bellshill, leaves behind four young children and her husband Ashely. Devastated loved ones have paid tribute to Mhairi on social media as a fundraiser was also launched to help ease some of the financial pressure on the family.

Heartbroken brother Martin McGee shared a touching post online as he urged people to tell their family members they loved them.He said: "Always tell your family that you love them.

If you haven't done it for a little while go and do it, do it now. One of these times will be your last opportunity."My awesome, bubbly, silly big sister Mhairi Anne Mackie didn't wake up, no warning, no explanation."There is now a new fork in the road of my life and the lives of all my family, especially her husband and four young kids."We all loved you, Mhairi, very, very much indeed.
