Scots farmer devastated after seven lambs were mauled to death in horror dog attack

Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area.Instances of livestock worrying have soared across the Stirling area in the last year.Last month, the Observer told how a Drymen farmer witnessed two small dogs hunting a deer to death.Sheep and beef farmer Shona Duncan, whose family owns three separate farms, was visiting one of the farms at Inveruglas, off the A82, when she witnessed two small white terriers chasing a terrified deer along the route as she drove home.She said she saw the red deer bolting along the road and two West Highland Terriers “zig zagging” behind it.

In a desperate attempt to evade capture, the deer tried to leap over a fence. The dogs managed to squeeze under a gate and remained hot on the scent.
