But Sheriff William Wood jailed him after pointing out he had £10,000 worth of cannabis in his home along with paraphernalia including scales for weighing the drug.
He also pointed out that Hunter had clearly been dealing the drug for months and had a "menu" on his phone of the types of cannabis he was able to supply.Sheriff Wood said: "There is nothing like a prosecution to generate contrition.
You didn't think about that when you were concerned in the supply of drugs for six months."This was not a one-off. It may well be that you felt obliged to look after someone else's stash.
