Irish Republican slogans on an Orange hall in an attack dubbed an “anti-Protestant hate crime”.The vandals painted ‘Provos’ and ‘IRA’ in the shape of a cross on the side of the Rutherglen Orange and Purple District hall on Saturday night, January 23.Officers from Police Scotland have launched a probe after members said it was the second time their venue had been attacked by “scum” in less than a fortnight.Jim McHarg, Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland, said: “I am disappointed and frustrated that yet again this hall as been attacked in around 10 days."It is simply an anti-Protestant hate crime.“There is no reason for anyone to do this other than to continue their own hate filled agenda.
