Scots civil servant to face trial accused of embezzling over £4k from the Child Maintenance Service

A civil servant is to face trial, accused of embezzling several thousand pounds from the Child Maintenance Service.Jonathan McClure, 25, is said to have embezzled £4506.88 while employed an Administrative Officer of the Child Maintenance Service.He was based at the Department of Work of Pensions office in Callendar Boulevard, Falkirk.The offence is said to have been committed between October 11 and December 12, 2020.At Falkirk Sheriff Court solicitor Lynn Swan, defending, said McClure, of Polmont, Stirlingshire, pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence.Falkirk Live brings you the latest headlines from Falkirk and beyond.But did you know all the ways you can stay informed with us?We share live news and exclusive scoops every day so make sure you're following us so we can keep you informed on all things Falkirk!Sheriff Derek Livingston continued the case for trial on August 30th.He also ordered McClure to appear at a procedural hearing on June 27th.
