Scots band Lucia & The Best Boys release debut album as front woman models for McQueen in Paris

The most exciting music fuses sounds with fashion.Frontwoman Lucia – of Lucia & The Best Boys – has modelled for Alexander McQueen and Valentino, and is at the heart of Scotland’s most exciting music of the moment.

The singer from Drymen, near Loch Lomond, will be celebrating today’s debut album release Burning Castles in Paris, where she’s modelling for McQueen.

She tells us what’s best. You have Elton as a fan – that must be something? I feel so lucky to have Elton supporting my music, he’s someone that most songwriters admire and I think having him want to talk to me about the music I’d been making just made me feel very grateful and seen and like I must be on the right path.I remember learning Your Song on the guitar when I first started teaching myself how to play, so it feels like a very full circle moment. Did he say why he liked your music ? He definitely expressed his love for it which felt overwhelming at first, it felt like some weird dream to be honest but as we started talking I felt very warmed by his voice and what he was saying. What was it like growing up near Loch Lomond? When I was younger I felt isolated out there and obviously there was no music scene either so I was desperate to move into the city.
