Whether you are looking to spend some quality time with your little ones or are just keen for some fresh air, there is nothing better than a good walk in the spectacular Scottish countryside.To help you decide on where to head for a scenic hike, outdoor experts at GO Outdoors have named the top 20 walks across the UK.
Four of these are located within Scotland, with the researchers singling out Ben Macdui and Cairngorm, as well as the Cateran Trail, Loch Katrine, and Ben Lomond.According to GO Outdoors, Ben Macdui and Cairngorm is a 'moderate' loop just under 18 kilometres in length.
Taking around six hours to complete, it will guide you up to the summit of the region's two most iconic peaks — with Ben Macdui being the second-highest peak in the whole of the UK behind only Ben Nevis.Elsewhere in the Cairngorms, the Cateran Trail is an even bigger undertaking at 24.5 kilometres in length, though it's also classed as 'moderate' in difficulty.
