A once-buzzing Scottish nightclub that hosted the likes of Kylie Minogue and other music legends is now nothing more than an empty shell.
Journeying back in time, Flicks in the Angus town of Brechin was one of the most happening dancing destinations for Scots in the 1980s and early-90s.
Sadly, today it is an abandoned husk that is considered at risk.In its heyday, music fans enjoyed performances from legendary acts such as Bananarama, the Village People, Rick Astley, Sinitta, Gloria Gaynor, Bucks Fizz, and Samantha Fox.
However, it was Kylie Minogue's performance alongside her on-screen lover Jason Donovan that really put Flicks on the map.As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, Brechin regularly saw buses full of partygoers from Edinburgh and Glasgow keen for a night on the town — despite its population of around just 7,000.
