Scotland captain Andy Robertson has increased security at his £3.5million home after an alleged “significant security breach” last year.
A man was arrested for allegedly trying to gain access to the Liverpool defender's mansion while he was away on international duty with the national side in March 2021.
The 28-year-old submitted a planning application following the alleged incident for new gates, which have now been installed outside of his property, reports the Sun.
A supporting statement within the planning documents read : “Following a significant security breach, the application seeks consent for the installation of a new boundary fence and pedestrian access gate to the front elevation of the property." The Mirror reports that it outlines the reasons for Robertson believing there is a need to enhance security at the Cheshire property.
